I've been knitting a sock (from the 2007 pattern a day calendar - geisha
sock,
can't remember who the designer is) with a little tweaking because I'm using
Cascade Fixation yarnon #4 DP needles ..these socks are for my 15-year DD
(who loves everything oriental - considering she was born in Iceland; don't
know
where the oriental stuff comes in _ but I digress! I cast on 48 stitches
for the cuff,
did the heel and gusset, then in order to fit my dd's foot had to have 52
stitches for the foot.
..and it's fitting so far..? thank goodness there's no knitting police
since there's a
difference of stitches in the cast-on and the foot..now, if there was any
speedier
way of knitting the foot, i'd be getting the second one done by the end of
the week..maybe
now's the time to learn the magic loop method or the 2 sock on 2 circulars..
this is after I get the laundry done, and dusting, letting dogs in and out,
cleaning up
the mud from them., the modelstitching, the taxes...just hope the kid's foot
doesn't
grow any by the time the socks are done!
