Hello everyone, for once I am "reporting in" on "your" Sunday - well for a
lot of you anyway - others are about to join me as Monday.

Yesterday - Mothers day - I bucked the trend, and cooked DH a lovely baked
chicken lunch which we had on the balcony with a nice white ( water of
course !) I also made him a pie ( he is the best pie eater in the business)
this one was a passionfruit meringue and he just loved it.

DH makes every day Mother's day for me - he brings a flower in every morning
before I get up so I figured I should do the lunch.

DD#2 phoned in the middle of the day - she is in Perth teaching a Dressage
clinic. DD#1 sent an early e mail and phoned last night as she had been
working all day on a contract for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, to
be presented today.

Other than that I was too lazy to even lift a crochet hook - I did spend
some time doing Zig Saws
on the computer though. God Bless Gwen

Passionfruit meringue??? Keith would adore you if you did that for him! I
don't make pies at all, and since Mom died, he doesn't get pies unless
someone else makes them.

Higs,
Katherine

Katherine, Frank would live on lemon meringue pies given half a chance ,
however I do not make too many for him and this was the first time I made a
passionfruit one - Frank's brother Peter gave me a lot of passionfruit and
so I thought I would try it. It was really great - better than the lemon
even!! God Bless Gwen

I have never heard of passionfruit meringue pie - but it sounds yummy.
DS#1 had a yummy blackberry pie for us yesterday - frozen berries,
though, as the new ones won't be here for a couple of months. He
barbequed shrimp for us that he had marinated in garlic, rosemary and
olive oil. They were great. (The house he has rented has two big
bushes of rosemary growing in the yard)

To be honest, Judy, I had never hear of it either but figured if I just put
passionfruit in instead of lemon it should be OK. I used about 8
possionfruit I think - certainly no less and it was more than OK it was
really good. God Bless Gwen
