Well, I am a Medieval Reinacter and I can tell you that as far as
anyone can find <this is after extensive searching through
archaelogical artifats> that crochet is after 1600.
Also - many say that crochet is 'Nun's Work', and quote some important
Museum's History Dept. - again NOT!
Many European Languages don't have a word for crochet, instead they
use the word for knit(ting). This causes confustion and
mis-translating when going into English.
