Hello and good evening. I am somewhat confused with casting on and
off. I cast on just fine but my cast offs are a bit too tight. Does
anyone have any ideas on how to solve this issue? Is it better to cast
on and off in a larger needle? Please, any help and advice will do.

Hallo Portia !! here it is midday now !!!!
Thus i am having my coffee with you ,,,
I don`t know in which method you cast on , but i preffer to cast on
with the Correct size needle .
While for casting off i take a needle that is at least 2 European
numbers [2 mm] bigger than the knitting needle ,,,,
hopes it helps you as well ,,,,

The method I use is the thumb method. Not sure if you are familiar
with this method. it is where you create each stitch by using your
thumb and one needle. Someone may know what I am speaking of.
