Hi,
what is average length any of you use for kids scarves? I'm making 4, one
for a 10 year old, 2 for girls ages 7 & 8, and one for a 4-year old..Don't
want
to make them too long so the kids don't trip on them..
thanks

Take a tape measure or string and measure how long you want them to be.
There is no standard measurement for scarves that I know of.

Hi Donna,
I would be sneaky and measure one in the Kid's Wear Dept. of your
local department store. Just ask one of the clerks if they would
mind, and I'm positive it wouldn't be a problem.

When I needed measurements for a surprise garment, I found a neighbor
of almost exactly the same size as my sister, and she very kindly let
me use HER measurements. If I needed a guestimate on length of a
scarf for a child, I would measure one of the neighbor kids.

I make scarves 36-40" long that tuck inside the coat so they don't get
tangled and other kids don't grab at them when playing and accidentally
cause a problem.
