Happy Midsummer festival to all of us who are celebrating it :)
Be safe, dont' drown or get killed in the traffics.

Hugs,
Johanna

(I hope it doesn't rain...)

Hej Johanna!

Tack det samma! To you too!
It's not raining here in Stockholm, almost a sensation on Midsummer Eve!
We are enjoying a very warm and lovely weather.

DH and I didn't celebrate so much, but we did have herring, new potatoes
and strawberries for lunch :-)

And yes, already many reports about road accidents :-(

Hugs,

Anna Maria

Hope your celebrations go well.

While we don't actually celebrate midsummer, the Seattle Art Museum
picked this time to celebrate a new community sculpture garden on the
waterfront with a free party with music etc on the site (which is still
totally undeveloped.
They just put hay bales around for seating and some tent like
structures for displays, membership sign up etc. - plus a bandstand and
a small dance floor platform. Several companies co-sponsored and
provided things like plastic seat cushions (good for putting on top of
the hay bales), treats, b=F8ttled water, and rain ponchos (not needed
as the weather was great) Lots of people turned out. It will be really
nice when this area is turned into a beautiful public space. It was a
great time for the party as it was light so late (we aren't as far
north as you are but still have long days this time of year. )

Hi Judy,

Oh, that sounds like it will be a lovely place when it's done. I'll
have to ask my nephew is he plans on visiting there.

Hugs,

Nora
