Here's the rub: I've got sciatica. Yes, I'm doing all the 'right things',
excercising, walking, taking ibuprofin, etc... however, I cannot stand or walk
ALL day, so must sit... anyone know of a way to sit that won't cause me to
seize up so badly??
Was at the Library this AM and stood and knitted on socks for half an hour, but
that's not exactly fun for me...
Hugs,
Noreen

Nothing but sympathy here. I've had it off and on since #1 was born
and sometimes it gets so bad, nothing helps. I did go to a
chiropractor once and actually got some relieve.

Everyone's different, but maybe a rocking chair would help. At least it
would shift where the pressure is and allow some leg exercise at the
same time.

comfortable recliner with a set of knitting needles nearby?

Any ol' chair won't do. It takes a good one.

Softness alone doesn't seem to be what she's asking about.
Moving seems to be what helps. So a chair that lets you move a little,
like a rocking chair, might be best.
