It is a hell of a cast on. I usually start at the top and work my way
out/down and make an applied sideways border. Cast on 7, cast off
maybe 12-15.

The one time I made a bottom-up triangular shawl it seemed like it
took forever - and that was just the cast on, which I did on a 60"
needle just to be safe.
