...have a striped heel that is so cool. I found myself knitting it
slowly, throwing and twisting the alternating colors, and I found the
stripes of the heel flap went all zigzaggy on my while creating a
beautiful pattern on the reverse of the flap, which of course is on the
inside of the sock so no one will ever see it. So on the second sock,
which I'm making in reverse colors of the first, I carefully do the
throw-with-main-color-pick-with-contrast, and lo and behold the stripes
are straight. Probably any number of you could have told me this, but
it's interesting to figure out for myself.
