Political commentary/thought of the day.....
What color is YOUR state, and can you figure out WHY???
LOL!
MY state is considered RED, yet I know more people (7 out of each 10) (!!!!) who
vote Dem.....
I don't GET it!

Mine is the white rose county. Nothing political though, the white rose was
adopted by the York family for its purity - the Rosa Mundi , rose of the
world, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Later, much later, the county of Yorkshire
used the white rose as its symbol.
I don't think our counties have colours.

Mary Fisher. . .
Mine was a Political query, Red is for Republican, Blue is for Democrat, and due
to the Electoral College DEBACLE, rather than the true POPULAR vote, various
states are wrongly referred ....

I'm in California. About as blue as they come. Of course, if you break
it down further you find that there's a blue coastline and mostly red
the rest of the state. Then again, since most of the population lives
on that blue coastline area it's no surprise. The bigger cities tend to
be more "liberal", the rural areas more "conservative", and the state is
actually very centrist and has a good amount of common sense on most
issues.
I'm in OC, however, and it doesn't get much redder than this. Then
again, we do have one Democratic Representative, Loretta Sanchez (who
managed to bump off Bob Dornan years ago), and I am hearing a lot of
grumbling about the economy and Iraq and the high cost of health care
and... OC still isn't likely to go blue any time soon, but it won't be
nearly as red this time around as it has been.

Hi, Kim! Long time no *see*! Waving from Tennessee!
We have a Dem gov, except I think he's conservative as all get out. (reminds
me of the exact opposite of long ago Pres Ike, who ran as a Rep, but was
liberal/moderate/Dem at heart!
We got quite a few Rep. state senators and representatives after the Waltz
Across TN debacle that caught some of our incumbant Dem's with their hands in
the cookie jar.
Strangely, tho, over 73% of the people I've talked to, people I know, etc vote
DEM!
Go figure.
The registrar in our county told me that 90% of her new registrants this year
listed themselves as DEMOCRAT, so perhaps we'll be a blue state once more....
