You Are VERY VERY welcome Murielle !
traditionaly a Talit had only some blue stripes , later it became dark
blue -black ,,,,, in some contemporary and esp communities where also
women wear a talit, we strted to see some talitot [plural for talit]
one see some other colored stripes as well.
The Knitted prayer shawls that , knitters are making in the last years
are usually Knitted or crocheted and are made for ill people , or
people who had a traumtic experience, and are meant to warm body and
soul of the hurt person. =while symbolicly the maker has put his
prayer for healing into it ....It is a sister to the square knitted
Afgahns ..

I'm mostly lurking on Usenet these days because I'm busy, currently
working on some more Star Wars chart designs for my site at the
request of a friend. Between that and work, this last month, I've
managed to make 2 scarves for an upcoming charity auction and 2 hats
for just charity giving since winter will be here before we know it!

Thank you! I am hoping to complete 2 more scarves before the auction
at the end of the month, and however many more hats before November
that I can.

On a related note, I met a nice local lady who has just retired and
makes 2 hats every week for charity to keep herself busy. I wish I
had her amount of knitting time, because it is so relaxing, and what a
good feeling if it's for a good cause.
