I'm working on Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Pi Shawl" and loving it. I took
a lace knitting class on Thursday, August 7th, and had a great time!
I learned Emily Ocker's circular cast on, which is a method of
starting the center with a crochet hook. It was easy and looks
super. I've completed the increases to 144 stitches, and finished the
first section of lace. Today I get to cast on to 288, and can hardly
wait to start the lace pattern. Oh, and I made myself some beaded
stitch markers, they look so pretty dangling off the work.

Thanks for all the encouragement I received from the group prior to
the class.

take care, Linda D. in B.C., Canada
