Hi all, I'm looking for worsted-weight 2-ply yarn for a plastic canvas
project. Unfortunately, so far my searches on eBay and Google have
come up with either nothing or some rather expensive skeins. The color
listed in the chart is "light tan," but in the picture, it looks more
grayish. (I really wonder what brand they were using.) I think what
I'm really looking for is an ecru/off-white color, although I could
use light gray also. Can anyone point me to a site that sells such
yarn? Thanks!

Schala. . .
wish I could help, but in 44+ years of knitting/crocheting, I've never heard of
a 2ply
worsted... I HAVE heard of and used 2 ply DK weight tho.
Hope someone else can assist!

http://www.philosopherswool.com/Index.htm
Philosopher's Wool has a 2-ply wool that knits as worsted weight. 5 stitches
to the inch on an American size 7 needle. They also have both colors you
mentioned.

Would you consider 2 ply nylon yarn? Walmart sells the Needloft Brand
along with Michaels. Here is a link

I happen to be using it for making a crochet windsock decoration. It
is not too expensive.
