wrote this several years ago i think it might be useful with the
new Anti-plastic bags laws.
---------------------------------
Hallo All I would like to share with you an idea for a ball/ bag or
bag/ball , i crochet
Have some Cotton and matching hook.
I will use American terms.
Make 1 circle by making aring of 4-6 chains, close into ring.
now make 12 DC into the ring, and 2 dc into each , [ 24 dc in second
round ].
Third round agin make 2 dc into each = [48 dc].
4th round make *2 dc into 1st dc, 1 dc into 2nd dc* until end of round
,[72 dc]
Now make 14 dc on the side, turn make 3ch skip 1 dc , make 10 dc
skip idc, and make last dc into last dc of ofrmer row. turn.
3ch, skip 1 dc , make 8 , skip 1dc , finnish with 1 dc into last dc .
turn , chain 3, skip 1 dc, 2dc , chain and skip 1 dc, 2 dc skip 1dc ,
make last dc into last of former row, cut thread,
make a second circle , but NOT the 14 dc.
put circles together and start at side of Flap [ of 14 dc] catch 1
loop each of first circle , and 1 loop of second circle. cahin 5 skip
a loop , catch third loopof both circles , chain 5 , skip loop .....
until you get to the other side of the Flap , there you have to make
the Chain 5 , skip loop * on the edge of the circle,
Now you can go on making the NET [=bag ] make several roundsof chain 5
on middle of chain 5 loop of previous round , after 3 rounds change to
chain 6 [ 2 rounds , and than to chain 7,
work bag until it is long enough or wide enough , one can add some
loops here and there on one loop and by this widen the bag,,, now make
around that will be the same number of your last dc loop but make this
round of dc, , fold bag inbto 2 and into 4 , make a crocheted handles
from one 1/4 point to the other 1/4 point . It is a bag[ net for
shopping , But if you do not want it for shopping take the bottom flap
open it , and Push the net into this pocket ,sew a little button so
that the flap row with the hole will close on it , Now it is a small
ball you can push in your pocket, and when you shop you have the net ,
hope this is clear enough , happy crochet
