I haven't posted in quite a while, as my 5 year old has discovered how to
use the mouse on our computer and has become completely addicted to the
starfall.com website. lol. So I don't get much chance to use the computer
anymore. :-)

I hope everyone is well. I am knitting gifts for Christmas like mad and
have gotten into quite a tangle making an entrelac hat pattern from the Hip
Knit Hats book. I made a size medium and when I finally got through the
entrelac pattern (which was a nightmare of epic proportions and required
tons of tinking), I knit the 7 rows of stocking stitch to create a rolled
brim (it was knit top-down). Well, the blooming thing is a little snug for
me and quite frankly, I think it's "skimpy", in terms of how it covers the
head. It seems like it would fit a 7-10 year old fine, but this is for an
adult! If I rip back the 7 rows of stocking stitch to get where I was when
the entrelac pattern stitch was completed, do you think I can increase at
this point to make the hat less snug, or would changing the type of brim, to
say, K1,P1 rib, which is stretchier, do the trick? It's not horribly tight,
it's just somewhat snug. Otherwise, I'll just finish it off and toss it in
my charity donations box.

thanks. Hope this made sense!

lisa
