Does anyone know of a source for this? I'm knitting socks with worsted
weight wool that wasn't designed as a sock yarn. I want to knit a
reinforcement yarn in the heels and toes, but my LYS doesn't carry it.
Anybody know if I can just substitute a clear nylon thread and carry that
with my yarn as I knit the heels and toes?

thanks!

The ladies in my knitting group swear by dental floss as a
reinforcement. Frances

THe best thing I've ever used is "Wooly Nylon"-- a kind of serger thread, I
think. It's available at fabric stores (JoAnn's, Hancock) and comes in
several colors. I usually use a light grey that blends in with everything. I
wear my wool socks all winter, and I haven't had a pair wear out yet.
