Whenever i send a package i bind it with some colored cotton threads ,
since most my friends and aquaintances are Textile artists, they enjoy
it , take care in unknotting my threads and use them in their art ..
Do any of you Use your colored threads for anything but textile
techniques ?

I use lengths of yarn to tie explanatory tags to the Bottles of Hope I make
for people undergoing cancer treatments:

Bottles of Hope are little decorated bottles (originally I think they were
heparin bottles from the hospital; I use a lot of insulin bottles that my
friend gives me), made and given with love to people undergoing
chemotherapy. I've given away over 100. There are pictures, a little more
