Relax in the hot tub as you gaze over the beautiful Smokey Mountains
enjoying a great bottle of Mountain White!

I can't make any suggestions but we invited a friend to dinner - a rather
special one.

While we were still at the table another friend turned up. Then another.
Then another. We kept moving round the table to make more space, it was like
the Mad Hatter's tea party. There were eight of us to start with, us and our
five children and the original guest so it became a little crowded.

Then a shepherd friend turned up with his spinning wheel Spouse had recently
made one and they migrated to the sitting room to compare techniques,
eventually some of the others joined them. It was a memorable, peaceful and
very happy evening which everyone who was there still talks about.

Sometimes the best events aren't planned. Spontaneity is good :-)

So the only thing I'm planning for our Golden anniversary in two years is to
lose enough weight to get into my wedding dress, which I'll spray gold. I'm
well on the way :-)

I suspect that youngest son, whose job is an event planner/designer, will
devise some surprise for us which will include all our children, their
children and perhaps even some great grandchildren by that time. They
represent our past and the future.

But one has to live to achieve ambitions and since we both have cancer it's
not certain. Even if we didn't we could have heart attacks, be run down by a
bus ... it's hardly worth planning anything :-) So we'll wait and see - and
in the meantime enjoy every second to the full and not be diverted by
anything which could get in the way of happiness and love.

Enjoy your anniversary, whatever you do. In these days twenty five years of
marriage is an achievement.

Mary

Mary Fisher. . .

Thank you. That was NEAT, and your Golden plans are awesome, too.
Yes, 25 nowadays IS an accomplishment, but your 50th is totally awe-inspiring!
