In May I am traveling to Boston for my job. I may have a bit of down time
in between workshops, and I hope to check out local yarn shops. Has anyone
been there or is from there and can recommend some *must see* shops? Also,
does anyone know right off hand if it's okay to have knitting needles in
carry-on luggage?

thanks!

Can't tell you about yarn in Boston, but as of the last time I flew
(January 2008), you can carry your knitting needles in your carry-on if you
want.

We have some great LYS in the Boston area. Where will you be staying? Are
you on Ravelry? There are a couple of good threads on there about Boston
LYS which I can show you if you are on the site.

May is usually beautiful in Boston!!

Hi there,

I hope I'm not too late for your trip. I just sent you a message in Ravelry
with links to the threads that have all the info, along with some of my own
thoughts. I realized while I was writing it that it has been a while since
I've been to some of these places and some of them I've never visited. All
the more motivation to work down my stash so I can go on a yarn crawl in my
own city!

Hope you have a great trip!
